Dr.Rhee Se
Whan, head doctor of Grand Plastic Surgery, was invited to attend Qatar
National Day of State of Qatar event hosted by the Qatar Embassy in Seoul at
the Dynasty Hall of Shilla Hotel on the 12th.
The
original Qatar National Day which is celebrated every 18th December is the
biggest festival of the year that celebrates independence from Britain in
1971(designated in 2007). This year, it became more meaningful with the newly
appointed ambassador of Qatar, Mohammed Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al Haiki.
Qatar is a
Muslim country that has fewer national events than other countries due to its
desert climate, and as it has only one national holiday in the year, National
Day event is considered as a big festival. In this event, ambassadors and
public figures from all over the world attended, and there was a congratulatory
speech from the Minister of Health and Welfare Park Neung-hoo, to celebrate
Qatar National Day.
Through
the attendance of Qatar embassy and Foreign Ministry and officials from medical
institutions, it is expected that cultural diplomacy and the overseas medical
market will expand in both countries.
