Breast Reduction & Lift
Restore a youthful appearance with a perky chest Eliminate discomfort with a breast reduction and minimal scarring.
Mastoptosis is natural with age, childbirth or breast feeding; over time, the breasts lose their volume and firmness and become droopy. Surgeries for regaining firmness or reducing breast size can fall into the following 4 categories depending on the extent of correction. The greater the correction or reduction is, the larger the scars.
Breast Lift – implants
For mastoptosis correction due to breast-feeding.
Breast feeding causes contractions of the mammary gland tissue and skin loses its elasticity.
Breast Lift – areola incision
For those who wish to retain the current shape and volume of their breasts, but want higher placed nipples.
Incision takes place around the areola, the colored area of the nipple, and is positioned higher up on the breasts.
Breast Reduction with Lift – vertical pattern incision
For the reduction of large bust sizes and a restored elasticity and firmness.
The vertical pattern incision is the most widely used surgical method for mastoptosis correction and breast reduction. A noticeable Mastoptosis correction and the removal of 500-1000g of breast tissue can be done at the same time. The incision leaves a vertical scar from the edge of areola down to the folds under the breasts.
Breast Reduction – anchor pattern incision
For severe mastoptosis or extremely large breasts.
When the folds underneath the breasts need revision or the amount of breast tissue to be reduced is over 1000g, this is the most suitable method.
Not only can very large breasts cause discomfort and insecurity, health problems associated with this issue include herniated lumbar disc, herniated cervical disc, shoulder stiffness, etc. In such cases, a reduction surgery that regains elasticity should be performed.
Mastoptosis correction and breast reduction basically follows the same principal in terms of the surgery method,
except for the removal of areola tissue.
- Insufficient volume of breasts due to the contraction of areola tissue
- Normal volume of areola tissue but with sagging
- Very large breasts with sagging
