3D Rotation Malar Reduction

3D Rotation Malar Reduction

3D Rotation Malar Reduction

3D Rotation Malar Reduction

It is different from the existing method which merely cutting or putting the lateral cheekbone inside. It makes obvious structural improvement by moving the malar as it rotates to reduce its actual volume and avoid droopy cheek, bone instability through extreme fracture. This is our new method for malar reduction.
Self diagnosis of cheeckbone development
Face looks broad
Have fierce appearance
Looks not sophisticated
There is space on the cheek below the malar and look older.
Look flat

‘Facial contouring surgeries are with us, Grand Plastic Surgery.’
Malars are not just moved inside but also moved as they rotate and this method is highly effective.

Grand's method
The existing method

Grand's 3 dimensional malar rotation make the posterior malar go inside to
be invisible Solve the flatness to make the anterior malar comes up to the
front bring more defined and smaller look to the face.
The result of each method

At Grand, we use laser to conduct 3D rotation malar reduction.
Since we use water and laser to cut down the malar, the damage to bone is minimized.

01| Less damage to bone compared to butting it with.
 02|
Laser helps bone cells to regenerate s
that the bone after surgery can heal quickly.
03| Less damage to nearby tissue, soft tissues and cells.
 04| Less bleeding
 05| Surgery procedure is safe.

Why Grand’s 3 dimensional malar rotation?
Mild and younger-looking malar shape, safe reduction, defined malar contour is Grand’s 3 dimensional
malar rotation.

Malar moves as it
rotates increases the
reductive effect

Preventing
droopy check

Flat face to
cubic face

No topical
effect

Accurate diagnosis
with 3D

Malar moves as it rotates increase the reductive effect UP
With anterior malar reduction & medical movement of the lateral malar, the 3 dimensional reductive effects are excellent.

Preventing droopy cheek
It prevents droopy cheek due to the distance between skin and shortening amount the cheekbone.

Plain face -> defined face
Not only using a method which performs only decreasing the size, but also considering the curve
to give structural change for a defined malar.

No topical effect
It is not about cutting cheekbone or lateral malar resection, but a well-balanced facial-body reduction

It’s safe
It is a surgery which accompanies cutting facial bone that has numerous nerves and veins, thus has to be performed by skillful specialist. As we accurately analyze faces with 3D and consider the safe fracture without touching nerve glands the most, high level surgeries can be safely done.

A thorough after care and recovery system
After 3 dimensional malar rotations, a care systsm is offered to soothe the swelling and pain as well
as to shorten the recovery period.

Through an accurate 3D CT scanning, a beautiful face contour is created.
As each patients has different anatomical structure it might cause
different complications during surgery (nerve damage which might
cause paresthesia, abnormal anatomical structure which cause excessive
bleeding, a respiratory failure which might happen during full
anesthesia, difficulties on respiratory after the surgery etc)
has been check-up before hand, it’ not only a matter of discussing
the surgery method scientifically but also about having a shorter
surgery time to reduce the recovery time as well.

Check up using the most common 2D(panorama, W-ray etc)
system, to get a check up on a 3D face through a flat picture
might cause error and it might be hard to get a detailed check-up
For a more
accurate diagnosis
3D CT scanning is used

The method of Grand’s 3 dimensional malar rotation

Lateral malar reduction
Anterior malar voluming up

Reduce the lateral malar,
not to be seen convex actual facial width.
Making appropriate volume on anterior malar
to be seen better in 45 degree aside

1
Resect the partial
anterior malar in
L-Shape and cut off.

2
Resect the arch shaped
bone of the lateral malar
and separate with the
anterior one.

3
Rotate the separated
cheekbone inside and
make some volume.

4
Fix the fractured bone
tightly with plate in
order to prevent
asymmetry or recurrence

Grand’s facial contouring specialist and collaborative system
In Grnad facial contouring center we have a specialized systematic and accurate collaborative system
composed of specialist in several areas to match each individual best checkup and treatment,
to that each of them can have the safety post surgery treatment and simple approach system.

We have an equipment and skill
to react swiftly and accurately on
emergency situation that might
happen during a jaw / facial
contouring surgery.
After the surgery, to get
ready for any emergency
that migh happen,
the patients were being
treated in an intensive
treatment center.
The anesthesia specialist
concentrates to
check up on patient’s
heartbeat and
respiration condition.
To provide a safe and
clean surgery and
treatment, we make
use of high tech

to had a thorough
sterilized system.

To whom would this method be suitable?
When you have a
wide and flat face
Strong and fierce
appearance
in the front
Bumpy line
due to the
convex malar
appearance
Relatively sunken
temple due to the
convex malar
to look bumpy
Eyes and nose
look plain due to the
overall flat face
Facial S-line
does not seem
so good in 45
degree angle

General malar reduction surgical designing system
It deals with the main structure
of one’s face(facial contour)
so it is different from that
of the existing eyes or nose
surgery. It makes more clear
and refreshed image, thus an
‘image surgery’.
It is like other facial contouring
surgeries, the outline of face
would have overall change
so it must be designed by
considering the whole image
and visual effect around
nose and lips which might be
accompanie with the surgery.
Medical photos and an x-ray
of the whole face are
taken one week before the
surgery, so the result
is minutely planned.
This kind of
‘planned surgery system’
gives the beauty which cannot
be compared to other hospitals
which performs operation
with only surgeon’s
hunch and sense.

After care is also important after facial contouring
01
It is advised to use ice pack right after the surgery until swelling goes down.
02
Fasting for a day after the surgery and taking soft food
(thin rice gruel, juice, milk and drinkable liquid food) is recommended.
03
Taking normal food is possible 2 weeks after the surgery, however, cut side dishes into pieces
and eat solid food 4 weeks after the surgery.
04
Wear compression band for 3-4 days after the surgery and avoid bending head down or lying on the
stomach. Sleepingwith 2-3 pillows under the head will help with subsiding pain.
05
Gargle to keep clean inside the mouth after taking meal in order to prevent inflammation
and infection inside the mouth.
06
Smoking and drinking will slow down healing wound. If unavoidable,
they are possible 3-4 weeks after the surgery.
07
Going through heavy shock should be avoided.
Every patient has swelling after the surgery,
however depending on quantity matter and individual constitution may affect the condition

*Please note: In regards to before and after photos on this site, results may vary depending on each patient's individual case.*
